With skies showering the Earth with regular downpours, it’s clear that the monsoon season is here to stay! And the worst part of the wet season? It plays spoil-sport and ruins all the countless hours spent in makeup and beauty routines. I’m Rosalyn and welcome to Beauty Guide With Myntra. Today I’ll be sharing some easy tricks, tips, and products that you need to stock up on to help you beat the monsoon blues. It’s a common myth that sunscreens are crucial only in the summers, and come monsoon you can ditch that healthy habit. That’s a big mistake. The sun’s harmful rays can damage your skin even in the monsoon time. Whenever I leave my house, I always make it a point to apply sunscreen, which has a high SPF, even if it’s raining outside. Kayas Skin Clinic Unisex Youth Protect Sunscreen is a good choice, because it has SPF 50, which protects my sensitive skin in any weather. It also has the added benefit of protecting my skin from premature ageing, dark spots, wrinkles and pigmentation from the harsh rays of the sun. The muggy, gloomy weather can sometimes dampen your spirit, but a little colour can brighten anyone’s day. So when it comes to your eyes, make a statement with some stunning creamy eyeshadows in pretty pinks & bold oranges, and let your eyes do and the talking. Likewise, if you don’t want to look like a goth or a raccoon, make sure you use a waterproof eyeliner, kajal and mascara, to keep it from dripping away in the rain. Nothing feels more regrettable than having a makeup meltdown, especially when it comes to lipsticks. To avoid severely downgrading your look by looking like a clown, I always opt for liquid lipsticks during the monsoons, like the Maybelline New York Superstay 24 Color
lipstick. These lipsticks are designed to stay on all day, prevent lip dehydration and tend to last a lot longer, especially in humid weather. On days when you opt for a creamy lipstick, just pat on some translucent powder onto your lips over a tissue using a brush. This will not only make your lipstick stay, but will also give you the perfect matte lip. Any change in weather is an open invitation to blotchy, painful acne. So to help battle this issue, I always look for products that have anti-acne qualities. Look for a face mask that has natural ingredients which controls the bacteria that causes pimples, redness and acne. Use it once or twice a week, depending on your needs and enjoy this weather without worrying about any pimples popping up all over your face! As much as I would love sitting endlessly with face pack after face pack nourishing my skin during this season, we don’t have that luxury in our busy lives! So to save time and still pamper your skin, a good face mask will do the trick. I would recommend The Solution Nourishing Face Mask from The Face Shop, as I’ve found it to be very effective. I always put the face mask in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, before applying it to my face. These masks thoroughly unclog pores by removing toxic pollutants and keep my skin it hydrated and nourished. In the end, don’t let this rainy weather dampen your spirit, skin or makeup. So do yourself a favour and choose wisely. All these life-saving products are available on Myntra, so go ahead and pick up what you need. I hope you found this video helpful.
